I have always known that nursing was my passion. I was raised in a family with many nursing and primarily inspired by the passion and determination of my mother. My mother is currently family nurse practitioner and her success has helped to spark my motivation within nursing.
Within my first year after graduating high school, I had already completed my pre requisites for Kingsborough Community College’s nursing program and was excited to join the KBCC nursing family. I graduated with my associates in nursing in June 2012 and successfully obtained my license in September 2011. Finding my first job as a registered nurse was no easy task only holding an associate degree in nursing. I continued towards working towards my BSN and decided to do so as a part of the City Tech family. I am now in my senior year at city tech and I am looking forward to graduating with my BSN shortly.
After a long steadfast search to find work as a registered nurse, I finally started my work career at St. Johns Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. New York in August 2013. I am currently working as a med-surg/oncology nurse with a team of very dedicated and inspiring health care workers. I will continue to progress within my career so I can be the best advocate for my patients that I can possibly be.
