Abstract

Qatar is a small country, located on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East. It has a unique position due to its natural resources, particularly natural gas and oil. Concepts of interrelationship and interdependence can be applied to Qatar in several ways such as, economic, regional and international dependence, food security, migration & labor, cultural & social. The relationship Qatar has with neighboring countries and international alliances impacts its arid climate, which relies on food imports. Understanding both interrelationship and interdependence is crucial for policy makers, business, and society at large and Qatar.
