Agenda:

1–Freewrite: What questions do you have about the end of Persepolis?

2–Compromise

3–Differences between text and film? What is left out of the film and why?

4–Introduction to The Taming of the Shrew by W. Shakespeare

Homework:

1–Read Induction and Act I of The Taming of the Shrew — in Readings menu tab. [I swapped out the versions of this play–I think this Folder version is easier to read and follow as it has more stage directions]

***Bonus: here is a fun and brief summary of the play (highly recommended):

2–Read assignment instructions for Translation Essay, then write 100 word introduction and thesis paragraph. Be prepared to read your introduction in class for 5 participation points on Tuesday. Of course, if you want to write more than a 100 words, that’s great. But you only need to read the first paragraph or so.

Note: A draft of the essay will be posted to OpenLab on Thursday. Final draft is due via Blackboard on  April 5.
