1–The first matter that Othello is wanted for is, Officers from the Venetian court brung Othello a message that said he was wanted by the duke of Venice about a matter concerning a war in Cyprus. The second reason Othello is wanted is because he married Desdemona.
2– The line “ I am not what I am .” means he isn’t what he appears to be. If his true intentions was his cover art people would know his true dishonesty. He fooled othello into believing he was his humble servant, when he was truly plotting to destroy him.
3–Why does Brabantio say to Othello:
“She has deceived her father, and may thee” [line 650]
In this line,Brabantio is trying to inform Othello that Desdemona, his wife, will betray him just like she betrayed her father. Brabantio had to accept that Othello did not use witchcraft on his daughter and there’s nothing he can do to divorce the marriage. He decides to warn othello to keep an eye on her because she may do the same to him, her husband.
4–Lagos wants to get Cassio fired. Inorder to do so he must get him drunk so he can stir up drama wit the other guards.Cassio gets drunk easily and Lagos know this. He gets Cassio to drink in honor of Othello. Cassio proceeds to stab Montano when he tries to restrain him. This leads to him getting fired and Lagos plan working
5–The handkerchief is a gift from Othello to Desdemona as a love token. When Emilia finds the handkerchief she recognizes the emotions,such as love and loyalty, that the handkerchief represents to the couple.
