For more than a year I had a pleasure to intern at Jennison Associates LLC.

On the first day, I was a little nervous coming in and meeting everyone. However, I was welcomed by my team of super-intelligent, motivating, and awesome people who taught me more than coding, they helped me to become a better engineer, co-worker, and employee. My internship was filled with on-job-training, interesting projects, and seminars. Besides finishing three big projects, I got practical knowledge about databases, front-end development, version control, and writing documentation. I had a chance to talk to industry specialists about investment and financial fields. Also, senior HR managers taught me the importance of doing research on future employers.
I think that other companies should take a lesson or two from folks at Jennison Associates on how to conduct professional, fun, engaging, and rewarding internship.
