Summary
This is a nursing elective course. This course is a comprehensive introduction to the use of computers within the Nursing Informatics specialty to identify, gather, and process information used in the management of client care. There is a lot of focus on technology based health applications that support clinical, administrative, research and education that enhances the efficacy of the nursing practice.
Experience
This is one of the many electives offered at city tech. Although this course is very writing intensive, it is a great opportunity to learn about the new hot field of nursing informatics. Technology in healthcare is growing, and this course gave me an introduction of the great things made reality because of technology advancements, such as TeleHealth.
