BUF 2400: Product Development in Fashion
Course Description
An introduction to the study of product development from concept to consumer. In this course students will learn how research is conducted in the fashion industry and how it is ultimately reflected in garment design. Trend cycles, consumer behavior, social, political, and economic influences are discussed as influences on trend development.
Assignment Description
This assignment involves the creation of a consumer profile for a private label/apparel product of chose. The consumer profile include an in-depth description of the demographics and psychographics of the product’s target customer. Also, for a visual description of the target customer a mood board was also created.
