Video Meeting Software + Sketchup Account

Everyone,

I hope you are well.

Here is an update on the course:

  1. Module 1 Drawing assignment is now due Friday March 20 by 3:00pm. I will post a link for the dropbox early next week.
  2. Please email me if you have not already. I need to have your contact information and know what resources you have at home.
  3. Please try to download ZOOM (https://zoom.us) so we can have video conferences as a class. You can set up a free account. This should be possible on phones as well as computers. If your computer does not have speakers and a camera, then I recommend you set it up on your phone. For mobile apps, look for Zoom Cloud Meetings.
  4. Set up a free Sketchup account: https://www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing/sketchup-free  This modeling tool will offer one option for the completion of your remaining drawing assignments.

Please comment on this post to confirm you read this information and if have successfully set up a Zoom and Sketchup account.

Re-planning the Rest of the Semester

Everyone,

I am sure you all have questions regarding how things will work for the rest of the semester. The faculty are working over the next few days to figure this out. Please be patient and we will figure out our strategy. This may involve utilizing digital tools at home. Please email me to confirm you have seen this post and let me know what capacity you have at home to use a computer with internet access as well as continue hand drawing (without a parallel.)

Protocol for ALL SUBMISSIONS

Everyone,

I see uploaded submissions that do NOT follow the required protocol for all submissions. I see uploads that are not organized into multipage pdfs and I see submissions that do not utilize our naming convention as required by the syllabus.

Any submission that does not follow these requirements will not be graded. I encourage everyone to double check that you are meeting these requirements and to revise and resubmit accordingly.
