This course will fulfill one of your writing-intensive requirements. You will be expected to complete several writing assignments, both in lab and lecture. These assignments will vary from a few sentences to long essays and lab reports. For long essays or lab reports you will be expected to hand in a first daft before the final copy is submitted. You will be given feedback on these drafts and it is expected you will incorporate these suggestions on the final copy.

DEN1114 Histology & Embryology Fall 2019/Winter 2020
DEN 1114 is a fundamental course that will assist in the development of the dental hygiene competencies. Basic principles of histology and embryology are studied with emphasis on tissues of the oral cavity and contiguous structures and their clinical considerations in dental hygiene treatment. Knowledge of the normal tissues of the oral cavity and surrounding structures is the basis for understanding diseases and abnormalities that are commonly encountered in dental hygiene practice. Also included is the study of the development of the face, oral cavity, the tooth and its surrounding structures.
DEN1218 Dental Radiology Spring 2020
Dental radiology provides the student with the knowledge and experience necessary to work efficiently and safely with x-radiation and radiographic equipment in the dental environment. This course is designed to perfect performance in specific intraoral radiographic techniques and in radiographic interpretation skills.

My Projects
Principles of Chemistry Lab- This laboratory course is a co-requisite for Principles of Chemistry Lecture. One three hour laboratory meeting per week and a total of 15 meetings per semester.
