.Den 1200/1200L is a con­tin­u­a­tion of the prin­ci­ples and tech­niques in­volved in the prac­tice of den­tal hy­giene as in­tro­duced in Den 1100/1100L. This course fo­cuses on tran­si­tion into clin­i­cal prac­tice. De­vel­op­ment of clin­i­cal skills con­tin­ues with con­sid­er­a­tion of ul­tra­sonic in­stru­men­ta­tion, pain con­trol tech­niques, and flu­o­ride ap­pli­ca­tion. Stu­dents ren­der den­tal hy­giene ser­vices to pa­tients in a clin­i­cal set­ting. Pa­tient as­sess­ment skills along with den­tal hy­giene di­ag­no­sis and treat­ment plan­ning are cul­ti­vated as well.

.Den 1200/1200L is a continuation of the principles and techniques involved in the practice of dental hygiene as introduced in Den 1100/1100L. This course focuses on transition into clinical practice. Development of clinical skills continues with consideration of ultrasonic instrumentation, pain control techniques, and fluoride application. Students render dental hygiene services to patients in a clinical setting. Patient assessment skills along with dental hygiene diagnosis and treatment planning are cultivated as well.
