COMD3551 WebDesign2, FA2015

COMD3551 WebDesign2, FA2015

Advanced web design is a continuation of ADV2450 Web I, a prerequisite of this course. Students will study, in further detail, HTML and CSS to ensure that they have a solid foundation. It is assumed that students have a solid grasp of Photoshop and Illustrator, and understand the proper web design workflow. The course is focused on completing a web site, designing and building it, as well as writing all the content for the site. A portfolio site is not appropriate for the final project, and will not be acceptable. Search Engine Optimization, Analytics, and web marketing strategies will be reviewed, and implemented. Attendance (College) and Lateness (Department) Policies:

ENG2000 Perspectives in Transnational Lit, S2015

ENG2000 Perspectives in Transnational Lit, S2015

In this course, we will study literature across genres, eras, and locales. We will examine broad themes such as family and home, the individual and society, good and evil, and the conflicts surrounding globalization. Specifically, we will examine the fascinating and yet confusing concept of globalization, especially its relation to literature. The central questions that we will ask in this class are: what does globalization feel like?, and, what does it feel like to be transnational? The novels, short stories, non-fiction essays, and poems that we will read will help us answer this question, for literature is very good at revealing and performing feelings.
