Bio

I was born in Paris, France then grew up primarily in Woodstock, NY. I earned a B.S. in Communications from SUNY New Paltz, an M.Ed. from Clemson University, and have completed coursework towards a Ph.D. in higher education administration.

I spent thirteen years working in colleges and universities, specializing in event planning, organization advising, marketing and promotions. In 2009 I made the shift to doing similar work in the hospitality industry, serving as the brand ambassador for Evian Water in New York City where I visited nearly 100 venues each week. This exposure led me to consult with various venues and brands, helping them to increase revenue in all areas of their operation. Over the years I’ve produced major concerts, designed a line of clothing and accessories, co-authored a book, and helped launch a restaurant franchise.

Today my priority is teaching hospitality and tourism classes both in class and online as an adjunct professor at St. John’s University, City Tech, Monroe College and LaGuardia Community College. I specialize in customer service, marketing, technology and tourism. On the side I coach startups, volunteer through New York Cares, organize Meetups and am a partner in an Extra Virgin Olive Oil company known as Lisjak.
