JESSICA HISCHE

For this project, I researched a typographer/designer and gave a Presentation.

I followed these steps for the project:

  1. Selected a Typographer/Designer: I chose one typographer from the list provided by the instructor.
  2. Conducted Research: I used five to seven resources to gather comprehensive information about the chosen typographer. This included books, articles, and reputable online sources.
  3. Created Visuals: I gathered a series of appropriate visuals that showcased the designer’s work, focusing on their typographic style.
  4. Designed the Presentation: I designed my presentation in a visual style that mimicked the chosen typographer’s work. This involved experimenting with the historical look and feel of their designs. If the typographer was a typeface designer, I incorporated one of their typefaces into my presentation.
  5. Gave the Presentation: I presented the key points about the typographer’s contributions and showed visual examples of their work. I aimed to make the presentation engaging and informative, reflecting the typographer’s unique style.

By the end of this project, I had gained a deeper understanding of the selected typographer’s influence on the field of design and typography. I also improved my research and presentation skills while having fun experimenting with different typographic styles.
