ASSIGNMENT: Choose ONE of the following options for your essay.
1)Evaluate an ethical dilemma you have faced.
Why was this a significant ethical dilemma for you? How did you handle it? What was its impact on you?
2)Recount an incident or time when you have experienced failure or disillusionment. How did it affect you? What lesson did you learn? How has this experience changed the way you deal with failure or look at the world?
3) Describe a sensual experience. It could be vacation or trip you went on to a place that is vivid in your memory, an art or musical event, or a delicious or terrible meal. What were the colors, shapes, scents, textures, and sounds involved?
4)Describe a moment when your life changed dramatically. It could be a decision to go to college, begin or end a commitment to another person, an accident, a birth or death.
DIRECTIONS:
- Be sure to give your paper clear structure and logical organization.
- Your essay should be 500-600 words (~2 pgs.), typed, in MLA format (doublespaced, 12pt, Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins).
- Your essay should utilize descriptive adjectives and employ use of literary devices (one metaphor or simile; one example of imagery).
- Your name, my name, the due date, and the assignment should all appear at the top of your first page (NO cover page).
- Give your essay has an interesting and informative title.
- The essay MUST be edited for grammar, typos, and readability.
- Be sure to incorporate ALL corrections from your DRAFTS.
- NO late DRAFTS accepted.
- Late FINAL versions will be marked down one letter grade each day, and will not be accepted more than 3 days after the due date.
