Design Brief (project description): Design a poster for a music concert in the park.
Poster size: 18″ x 24″
What: Concert in the Park
When: Sat, October 27, 2012 at 3:00pm
Admission: Free
Target Audience: Music lovers who are especially into jazz. These will be local residents.
Other body copy: Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the vibes.
As an alternative, you may create a poster using whatever type of music or group that you like. Determine who your target audience will be and make sure your design has that audience in mind.
Part 1—Thumbnails
Do a page of thumbnail sketches for the poster idea. Thumbnails sketches are done very quickly but not like chicken scratch/scribble. This is a way of brain-storming as many ideas for a layout as possible. Please refer to your textbook reading that deals with thumbnails. Be prepared to present your thumbnail ideas during the next class.

Brochure size: 5.5″ x 8.5″ (folded from 8.5″ x 11″)
This brochure is for an accounting company. They do general accounting, bookkeeping and payroll for small businesses. They also do tax preparations.

Target Audience: People who would need these services.
Thumbnails are during class the week of Oct 15.
