  4. Developmental math proposed changes (Prof. Ellner):
    1. Permit use of four function and Scientific Calculators (that don’t simplify radicals).  Neither graphing calculators nor cell phones calculators will be allowed.
    2. Eliminate Scientific notation from the syllabus.
    3. Replace exercises using functional notation with evaluation examples.
    4. Include topics pertaining to horizontal and vertical lines.
    5. Include reducing fractions in the form that requires factoring.
    6. Reorganize the topics order in the syllabus and incorporate these changes into the existing review sheets.
  5. MAT 065/MAT1275CO proposals (Prof. Han)
  6. Committee policy proposal addition (Prof. Poirier):
    • For courses with subcommittees (MAT 0650/0650CO and MAT 1275/1275CO), proposed changes to course outlines must be approved by the subcommittee before being presented to the committee.
  7. Course outline management (Prof. Poirier):
    • Course outlines that have been approved by the committee department (and other relevant bodies) should be forwarded to the committee chair and committee secretary to be uploaded to the department webpage.
