Final Exam review
The final exam is on Tuesday May 23, and will consist of exercises similar to the Final Exam Review exercises (most of which we have covered in class and/or have been assigned as homework over the course of the semester).
On Thursday, we went over the Final Exam Review exercises by topic. Here is the summary, along with exercises from the midterm exams to review (solutions for the 3 midterm exams are available via Files). The final exam will likely consist of one exercise on each of these 10 topics:
#1: Integration by substitution (Exam #1, Exercise #4)
#2: Integration by parts (Exam #1, Exercise #5)
#3: Area between two curves (Exam #2, Exercise #4)
#4: Volume of solids of revolution (Exam #2, Exercise #5)
#5: Trig substitutions (Exam #2, Exercise #1)
#6: Method of partial fractions (Exam #2, Exercise #2)
#7: Improper integrals (Exam #2, Exercise #3)
#8: Infinite series with positive terms (Exam #3, Exercises #1-7)
#9: Alternating series (Exam #3, Exercises #8)
#10: Power series (examples from Thursday’s class — see below; Quiz #3, #7)
