1. According to the article “Greening Gross Domestic Product” a green GDP would require transitioning away from the current national income accounting system. It would create the challenge of dividing the national environment. i think this would work to some extent like on carbon emissions, but on things like the air or water i don’t think it would work.
2. What Rowe and Silverstein is actually trying to say is that the increase of problems is what GDP consist of. He talked about the way people eat and how they are overweight. Also after becoming overweight and obese they spend thousands of dollars on liposuction. but that all goes into GDP. As i stated already the GDP is from problems we try to fix
