Success Tips – Daniel V

Tip 1. Mastering Deadlines Managing deadlines has been a personal challenge for me, and it’s an area I’m determined to improve upon in college. Admittedly, my high school experience allowed for some procrastination, but I’m well aware that college operates on a different level of accountability. To stay on top of my assignments, I’ve set up reminders on my phone to regularly check class announcements and assignment due dates on the online platforms. I’ve also made sure to bookmark all the necessary school apps on my laptop for easy access. In college, I’ve committed to approaching my work with greater seriousness and avoiding the temptation to postpone tasks until the last minute.

Tip 2. Getting to class in time In my high school years, getting in class was something I struggled with, especially in my senior year. While I often managed to get to class on time, however I recognize that college is an entirely different ballgame. The pace of learning is faster, and falling behind is easier than ever. To address this, I’ve already started waking up earlier to ensure I arrive on time for my classes. My goal is to maintain this on time throughout my college journey, allowing me to focus on my studies and stay engaged in class discussions without the risk of falling behind.

  1. I totally agree with what you said about coming to class early and be prepared, and to not do your work last minute. It’s a good thing that you keep yourself organized and write down all the important dates and deadlines for each class.
