My research question is “How does technology affect people’s attention span?” This topic interested me because I’ve been using phones for the last 8 years and noticed a deficiency in my attention span. I’ve seen classmates in high school scroll on social media during class instead of paying attention. I also caught myself getting less sleep from continuously scrolling hours on my bed instead of getting a full night’s rest. I know that people ranging from kids to seniors use technology. People develop addictions to scrolling due to the instant gratification nature of the apps. Also, over five billion people use technology in the world. I want to find out on average how long people use phones a day. I want to know if it makes people read less. Lastly, I want to know how the brain gets affected.

I think your focus on tiktok is good. It’s definitely in the news now. However the source you show me is probably a law student writing in a college law journal. Also it’s not a very developed article, only a few paragraphs.
Can you look for a better more reliable source — LOOK AT THE ASSIGNMENT. It says NYTimes, WSJournal, reliable journals.
Tiktok is definitely in the news. Look harder.
I would focus on the teen brain. Saying “people” is too general. YOu need to be specific. Rephrase your RQ to focus on teen brain.

That’s a quick google search I did.
