Research Question: My research question is “How does gaming addiction form in teens”
Message: I want to teach my audience about gaming addiction in teens and describe its causes and effects on their minds.
Audience: My target audience is parents hoping to make them understand the reasons why their child may be addicted to video games and what the possible solutions to their addiction can be.
Genre: I will be doing a video essay for my project. I feel like a video essay is personally great for me to express the information I want to in a creative form. I am also good at editing videos.
Plan: I plan to write a script before recording any audio or gathering clips to edit. A script gives me some sense of direction for my video.
Concerns: My only concern right now is re-learning my editing software and hopefully remembering certain features that will make my video essay look professional.
Mentor Text: The mentor text I will be using as a reference for my video essay is “Woke Brands (by hbomberguy).”I loved his tone throughout the video. He kept the audience entertained while providing great information.
