“You need more classes for you to pass you’re driving exam,” said my instructor {Juan}. His words made me feel negative towards my test and also him, if he was a good teacher he would show me the works rather than having to me take more classes and rob me out of my money. Most of the time I was driving he was on his phone. If I’m paying you the money to teach me something I feel like there should be some type of respect to put your full potential to pass my exam.
Even though he put me in a struggling position I didn’t let that phase me. I practiced with my dad’s car driving around day in and day out because practice makes progress. 2 weeks later I had my exam and come to find out I passed. it goes to show how one person can affect your way of thinking using a negative persona but having the confidence to push through and become a better you will help you succeed.
Ok — this could be an interesting story of learning to drive with a non-so-great driving teacher!
NOW you need CSD concrete specific details! WHERE was this happening? I assume in a car so make this clear! What were the sounds going around outside and how was your concentration at the wheel? Describe how you knew Juan was on his phone (could this be a little bit funny?). THen what were the inner thoughts going through your mind?
I thought to myself, “If this guy were a real teacher he would be directing me to…” WHat was going through your mind?
Can you create a scene in the car? Is there a special memory of a time you were driving and learning with Juan that would SHOW me what a bad teacher he was?
THen going forward waht were the steps you took to teach yourself or being in the car with your dad as your better teacher?
