Intro – Zubair Abdullah

I am Zubair Abdullah and I’m 18 years old, born on January 21st of 2006. I was born in New York City, more specifically, Brooklyn but I am Pakistani, so I guess that would make me an American Pakistani. Even though I am Pakistani, I know some simple sentences in Urdu and can read a bit in Arabic. I am currently studying at City Tech for a computer systems degree, more specifically, I want to get into the cyber security route. I really enjoy food as well. One of my favorite foods is gyros. In my free time, I like to play video games with friends or just hanging out with them in general via playing basketball at the park, I mostly play games like Valorant, City Skylines, Minecraft, and a bunch of other variety of games on my computer. I also really enjoy listening to music and watching movies with my family.

Here is me as a baby. (The photo looks better in person. It has been downloaded from my phone to the computer to upload.)

One of my goals is to be successful, but I’m not talking about success where I can live comfortably. I am talking about the kind of success that I can buy my dad his dream car, a house, something more. I want to give back to my family. My dad has been supporting me by himself, so it only makes sense for me to give back. I cannot really do that unless I am not good on my own in terms of money and getting a stable or good enough job to be able to do that. My dad keeps talking about getting a BMW or Mercedes. One day, i will get him that car.

  1. It’s nice to hear that one of your goals is to be able to buy your dad his dream gift! Thx for sharing a great baby picture — very cute. You have been exposed to different languages. What language do you speak with your family? Any special Pakistani foods that are your favorites? I love Indian food and wonder how similar this is to your family heritage food. My mother even learned to make puri breads from an Indian friend. Sharing food and culture is a wonderful way to share our different and unique and varied American cultures.
