I’m Stacey Mejia, and an important part of who I am is my Mexican background. I have a lot of interests and goals in life, so choosing a major has been difficult for me. Particularly appealing to me are professions that allow me to put what I’m learning into practice. I have two birds, a dog, and a fish, so my love of animals plays a big part in my life, but my interests go beyond this, which is why I’m looking for a major that covers a wider variety of useful, interesting activities.
My strong desire to make my parents proud is what motivates me to seek further education. They relocated to the United States in order to provide me greater possibilities, and I’m determined to succeed academically in order to honor their efforts. I have an older brother who has always been a great support, so I have a lot of motivation to do well and take advantage of all the opportunities. My goal is to use my wide range of interests and love of hands-on learning to develop a meaningful career path that fulfills my family’s and my own expectations for me.
Good to meet you Stacey!
