In the article, “It Is a Delusion to Think Having a Gun in the Home Makes Us Safer” by Nicholas Kristof, she starts by using a contradiction in the first couple sentences. Then the author goes on to using statistics and world events as evidence for her contradiction. This text incorporates the use of story telling by telling us a incident that happened in a country that involved a gun and puts it in his article, where it connects to the hook. In the opening of the text, there are visual elements that represent various people who became victims of gun violence because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
