Summary Practice: Andre

Main idea: In the article “Schools are killing curiosity”  by Berliner is about schools ruining the important part of being a children in school. According to research studies shows curiosity is more important within children than staying focus.  
Detail 1: Berliner mentions that by “promoting curiosity it is a foundation for early learning that we should be emphasizing more when we look at academic achievement”. Paragraph 7 (III)

Detail 2: In addition to the article. According to the research studies, “children are born curious. Number of questions a toddler can ask can seem infinite, But it is a critical method humans adopt to learn”. Paragraph 8 (III)
Detail 3: Another example “even worse, as they got older the children gave up asking all together”- paragraph 9 (III)

Summary: In conclusion Berliner concludes that schools should not be killing children’s curiosity, as curiosity is one of the critical method children use to learn. Children perform better academically in school when they’re able to use their curiosity and asking questions, With out teachers saying otherwise.
