“It’s pretty normal to get confused in places while reading, especially while reading for class, so it can be helpful to look closely at the writing to try and get a sense of exactly what tripped you up. This way you can learn to avoid those same problems in your own writing.”
To paraphrase, It’s a commonality to be bewildered in writing, specifically during class. Find out why it confused you, whether that be the wording, context, phrases, quotes or so forth, take that into account and implement in your writing a way that you avoid letting your reader be just as confused as you were in a different writing.
