Tip 1: Tip #7 (”Find study skills that work for you”) personally stood out for me. I always was told to just power through my homework even if I felt burnt out or need a break but I think its very important to have your own way of studying that works for you. I, for example, like to listen to music and take periodical breaks while studying. While some people will say that you lose concentration doing these things I get the opposite effect. I also prefer to listen to things rather than reading them. People also say that reading will help you remember better but I hate to read a page with a bunch of words and I tend to zone out and then get lost in thought which is non-productive.
Tip 2: Tip #9 (“Ask for help!!!”) is something that I personally need to work on as I don’t tend to ask for help much. Even if I am struggling I see it as my own problem that I need to solve with my own wits. I get stuck in the thought process of if I have to rely on others then how I am I supposed to move forward as a person. In reality getting help can be something that can grow you as person. If had just asked for help in various occasions I might be a completely different person from who I am right now.
The importance of homework is crucial, especially don’t be afraid to ask for help either.
