one thing i learned from reading like a writer is that everyone uses different techniques to describe the main idea of their writing for example “a short quote from President Barack Obama about the war in Iraq.” showing how people use a hook to capture the reader into the essay that they are reading but it allows the writing to use outside information to help achieve their goal the writing is trying to express
