My name is Gilbert Espinal and I am a freshman at city tech, where I’m a major in computer systems technology. I’m an American-Born Dominican who started college as a pathway to a more promising future, one that is separated from my family as the older generations had never been in college or had such opportunities. I’m only nineteen, but I know from my experience that it’s important for someone to choose what they believe is good for themselves. When I had been taken care of by my family, I had learned while maturing the value of choosing to support those you care about, and through that, I learned the value of my own choices.
I like to read, write, draw, or do anything that allows for some self-expression. I’ve had quite a lackluster educational journey, and when COVID-19 began, I started working at seventeen and thought college wasn’t my future. Self-expression has allowed me to know my feelings, thoughts, and ideas, especially in writing. And through my choices and passions, I’m excited to participate and learn from this class to enhance my writing and reading awareness.
Instead of giving generic statements about the “importan[ce] for someone to choose what they believe is good for themselves” and other general vague statements you make here, you need to work on concrete details, interesting facts about yourself. I really don’t know much about you that makes you stand out in a crowd of students! Did you read the HW instructiosn carefully — think of yourself as the guy at the party whom everyone wants to meet — say some thing INTERESTING about yourself. Or I will think you are BORING! Ok that’s my spiel.
This is a LATE submission…as we go forward know that LATE works are not graded and not commented on.
Where is your picture? — that was in the instructions. SUPER SUPER IMPORTANT to read the directions for the HW carefully — that is what you are learning to do in this class!
