Individual Strengths

Individual Strengths

In evaluating myself throughout this nursing program and throughout my life, I realize that I am hard working and very ambitious. I take pride in knowing that I always strive to do my best. My motto is to either do or don’t, there is no such thing as try. Keeping this in the back of my mind has allowed me to attain many goals in my life. From being certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse at eighteen years of age, to finishing my Associate degree in nursing and on the way to obtaining by Bachelor’s degree. I am an excellent listener and I tend to always think outside of the box. I am helpful, friendly, and I always try to see the best in every situation.  I have a passion for helping others, which is one of the main reasons I decided to pursue nursing.  I owe my success to my strong faith in God, and the continuous  support of my family and friends. The old saying is true that it takes a village, and it really does. Respect and trust is key for me, especially in a professional setting. I am trustworthy and I truly stand behind the saying that honesty is the best policy. Being honest saves a lot of time and energy for all the parties involved, and I make a point to always be honest and true no matter what the cost. In my nursing career I can only hope that the people I encounter are positively affected by my presence, and that I can make a difference in someone’s life no matter how small it may be.
