I think given what I’ve known at the time and the circumstances that I’m in regards to this internship, I am doing reasonably well. I keep up with the workpace of the office without much difficulty and I am getting along well with everyone, my boss included. I do believe that I should’ve gotten into my supervisor’s rhythm a lot sooner than I did. Even though I was entrusted to do the tasks that I’ve done on my own, with some input from everyone else, I feel like I should’ve done them a lot quicker.
The constant changing of the assignments I’ve been entrusted has overwhelmed me a little. In school, no matter what changes or revisions are done, the goal of the project or assignment tends to stay the same. I’ve learned that it isn’t so like that with this internship or with my freelance projects that I have on the side. You should also be prepared to change and adapt to whatever changes arise in the situation.
I feel like I have evolved and adapted due to being in this internship. Ideas come a lot quicker than they’re used to and although they’re not all home runs, I am certainly thinking and whittling down my options by doing so.
