Hello! Name’s Luis Salcedo! I lived in the Bronx for my entire life but my parents are immigrants from Ecuador. I always had a hankering for the arts. In high school, I spent three years as the member of the art club, drawing characters from my favorite media. It wasn’t until late in my life that I thought about using my interest in the arts as a career until I arrived at the New York City College of Technology. Prior to coming here, I studied architecture in NYIT but after looking at an advertising major’s portfolio and being impressed with what I saw and heard, I immediately transferred majors and schools.

Now almost four years later, I’m towards the end of my undergraduate. Communication design is my major but I specialize in web. At the moment, I’m considering to continue my education and obtain my MFA once I graduate from City Tech. I hope to use the talents that I honed in the past couple of years to do creative design solutions and make a positive difference in the world.
