Introduction to Louise S. Charles

I graduated from Borough of Manhattan Community College in June of 2000 with an Associate of Applied Science in nursing. Upon passing the NCLEX examination, I received my license to practice as a registered professional nurse. In order to be an efficient and productive nurse, one has to have a passion for the profession and be willing and able to take care of individuals during their most vulnerable times. As nurses we should be able to speak up and let our voices be heard in matters that impact the way we practice. We should contintue to be vehicles for change since we make up the nation’s largest group of health care professionals and thus play a major role in the design, delivery, and transformation of health care.
