Its true that documentation is all around us and most of the time we use documentation without ever being aware of that we are. Edges’ article made me realize that documentation can be used as a powerful tool for learning. not just in the class room but everywhere. All organizations need a way to document things from records to their SOPs. Like students if new employes where made to document their learning within the company they would probably become a more effective member within the organization. I would like to respectfully disagree with Robinson, The process by which things are documented can change but the standard set forth for the quality of the documentation does not. I have no problem holding someone to a standard of documentation that was being met before but for some reason it cannot be met anymore, that sounds like bull. The “Disillusionment” would not be there if people were held accountable and such inferior quality products were not allowed.
