“Wikipedia”– A Dream Of Freedom

“Wikipedia” – an online encyclopedia that has been provide valuable background information to many people, especially college student like me when I do my research papers. One of the greatness is that Wikipedia is a people building online encyclopedia that people all around the world can contribute to the database, so more and more people can benefit from Wikipedia. But from Nicholson Baker’s article “How I Fell In Love With Wikipedia” I learnt that many people with valuable ideas and information are getting deleted each day, which I think this is very brutal. I think the world we live in is flourishing because of people with ideas. Just like our ancestor with the idea of making fire which motivated them to bore wood to get fire, so they wont have to eat raw meat, be afraid of darkness and wild animals any more. I believe that an idea is like an seed that will grow with time when people adding more information to it.
