Blog concerning Zines 101/ history and characteristics by Fred Wright

In these two articles that I will talk about the idea of zine is discussed .A zine, as I understood is a publication designed for a very limited target audience, and usually distributed on a small scale level. They are cheap to produce, and are often spread by hand through the relevant community that the zine artists or distributers are targeting. The term zine in its origin stands for a “magazine”. This word may be implying a collection of varied written and visual work distributed to readers at a relatively low cost or an exchange plan that can take about between friends and traders. A zine is often found in an underground secret community or a club. People that publish zine publications are considered as artists or authors that either weren’t so lucky in finding fame in order to publicize their work or people that have a limited budget for publication, thus they publicize by them self in the cheaper price range possible. On the other hand a fanzine is a nonprofessional publication that was produced by fans of a particular sort, which are maybe related to the music section or sports section and etc. This type of art or publication named fanzine, was created for the pleasure of the creator and of for the eyes of the interested fans.
