My keys and key chain brings back old memories. It shows my childhood, my first time to many things, and how much I have grown ever since. The first time I acquired my keys were during a trip when I was a 5th grader. At around 6 p.m., I got off a trip and was allowed to walk home by myself for the first time. My parents were rarely home during the evening. The keys were the first item that my parents trusted me with. It makes me realize that my parents entrusted me with some responsibility and shows how much I’ve been growing. My keychain resembles my friendship with a childhood friend I have. We still keep in contact and we check up on each other once in a while.
