As a final project I had to do a movie poster for a film from the past 10 years. I chose to do Spiderman 3 since it is a movie I enjoyed when I was young. As I discussed the film I chose with my teacher we decided I should illustrate a scene from the movie where Spiderman pulls off Venom. For the background I chose to include the church wall and bell from the scene. I decided to incorporate the title of the movie into the bell as a graphic element.
This project allowed me to learn more about digital art as I had access to Wacom Cintiq at school. I experimented with different brushes and textures which showed me new tool I can use for future illustrations. The process of making different thumbnails was helpful as it allowed me to think about different possibilities for the illustration.
