I Think that everybody has a different view of how to design. It all depends on the person and their creativity, and the way they chooses to attack the problem. According to Josef Müller-Brockmann he believes that the way to design is to use a grid. Muller-Brockmann believes that with a grid you can have your design organize and place in a way that’s easy to understand.

In a way Karl Gerstner is a bit similar to Josef Muller-Brockmann in that they both believe that the way to design is to follow a system. Gerstners created a diagram which basically shows a way to design. It shows a whole bunch of solutions to designs problem that you might be having. And he thinks that this Diagram should be follow step by step in order to design. In my opinion designing should have a system to follow but it should also allow the designers to be as creative as they would like as long as they follow the rules.

Last but not least is Jan Tschichold He says that Design typography should be visible easy to understand. Tschichold stated that “The typographer must take the greatest care to study how his work is read and ought to be read” Meaning that the designer should take time to visualize how he wants his work to be received by others, by the way the design is set up.
