As I progress in my career as a nurse and as a student in the baccalaureate program, I begin to see the different aspects of nursing that I believe I excel in and keep improving on during my nursing career. I believe that my strengths correlates with how I work with a team. I play basketball for a hobby and I believe that you can never win games alone. The same principles applies to nursing, you will never be able to nurse a patient back to full strength without a team behind you. A team composes of different discipline in the hospital settings that have different roles in attaining the ultimate goal of discharging a patient back to their home. Another strength as a nurse that I have is my communication skills. I communicate in a respectful way because I want the same respect that I give to my patient. Everyone that I take care of will receive my outmost service, whatever ethnicity or socioeconomic status they fall under.
