Through out my academic career in the Baccalaureate program in New York City College of Technology, my skill as a nurse has been continuously growing. The program showed me the different aspect that a nurse must take in to account when you are taking care of an individual, their physical attributes, their ethnicity, and their community. I also learned that there are many different paths that a nurse can take in their respective careers. We saw the different places that we can be a part of in the hospital setting, from the different units to the managerial positions. But nurses cannot only be in the hospital settings, we can partake in research studies or we can be in the community settings in different schools or health homes
