“I believe nurses have a calling to provide care to all who seek it regardless of race, culture, lifestyle choices, socioeconomic status, or disability. The nursing core values of caring, integrity, diversity, and excellence extends beyond the profession into our way of life. I must represent the profession by providing safe, and holistic care. Becoming an active partner on the interdisciplinary team as well as an advocate for patients, I hope to empower others to strive for optimal health. Nurses should maintain that commitment and hold themselves accountable for their impact on others, aiding and empowering others to take control of their health through mutual goal setting.”
