In partnership with Habitats For Humanity, Solar Decathlon Modular (2015) Project finds a new home in Berthoud, Colorado – Summer 2018
The summer of 2018 was my initial I volunteer opportunity in construction technology through a sustainability course offered by the Architecture Department. We were the under direction of Professor Aptekar. The class partnered with Habitats for Humanity in a building project in Berthoud, CO. Before the team left NYC, we had to design an ADA compliant ramp and procure materials to reassemble the modular solar home. While construction progressed, I along with the other student builders ensured milestones were met in time for city inspections.
