Stance: At first when I started to read this essay, I thought Maman-Naiaine was jealous by her cousin named Babette because how high-spirit she was in her outlook of life unlike her and postpone her trip to avoid going out on a journey until I compared the sub-editing of someone else work and the novel. Now that I think about it, Naiaine does not want to leave her because she will forget her one day.

Genre: The genre of this novel, “Ripe Figs” is romance and adventure.

Structure: The structure of this novel, “Ripe Figs” is a sequence of comparing and contrasting between Maman-Naiaine and Bebette.

Audience: The audience of this novel, “Ripe Figs” caters toward adolescents and young adults because they will able to understand the meaning behind it.

Plot: Frankly, Babette unions with her cousin, Maman-Naiaine and discussed about the Figs.
