Case #1 Deep scaling and root cleaning
N,A. 29 years old, patient hadn’t had a cleaning over 5 years. Smokes a pack of cigarettes every three days for the past 1o years. Came into the clinic after dentist recommended she get a $1000 worth of deep root scaling prophylaxis. Tenacious calculus thorough pt’s entire dentition. Had a long discuss about smoking cessation, and gave several handouts about quitting. Class I mobility on mandibular anteriors with ledge of supra gingival calculus. Generalized recession, period type III. Was able to complete full mouth prophylaxis with just administering Oraquix.
Before and after- Arresting Placement
A, M. 54 years old male. Last prophylaxis was over ten years ago. Generalized recession, and gingival margin inflammation with moderate bleeding. Type III perio.
