An Interdisciplinary Approach to Research Methods
The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
One of the most important feature of the design is the positive energy that it sends to the receiver. Nobody will actually hire you to design anything with a negative energy. In order for a message to be heard, or a product to be sold, a design must bring the positives not the negatives. Although sometimes designers tend to use negative content in their designs in order to send a message, but this type isn’t popular although it is strong. A designer should have ethics to follow that will set his path in the design industry. Some designers would create a design with positive energy on a negative product and vice versa. For example, cigarettes adds are actually provoking people to smoke although smoking causes serious health problems. So in my opinion, ethics are the rules that will guide a designer and draw his path, either it lifts the designer’s reputation up or will drop him/her all the way down.
