Logo I developed for author Sylvia A.Harvey, an award journalist, speaker and author of “The Shadow System” during my internship in Spring 2023. Her work focuses on race, class, policy and mass incarceration. For the design process she wanted to use her initials, keep it professional, modern, and relate to her quote “Igniting action on the mass incarceration crisis with wit, soul, and bold lipstick. The color red was used to relate to the bold lipstick in her quote and the red border around her initials represents the shape of a book, as she is an author.
