We all know about the infamous El chapo and how he is serving his time. My question focuses on cruel and unusual punishment. El Chapo once led a high profile murderous drug cartel before he was incarcerated. El chapo has killed an estimated 2000-3000 people even while on the inside. Inmates can suffer from being in distress. Although El chapo is not the best person alive. He does not have to be taken advantage of while in government hands. As it states in the text

“This deprivation of sunlight and fresh air, over an excessive 27-month period, is causing psychological scarring,” it said. “He … is suffering many symptoms of distress as a result of this lengthy unwarranted punishment.” We Understand what kind of person El chapo is and yes he deserves the TIME  handed to him. Does that mean that we let him sleep with the light on EVERY NIGHT? Does that mean that we don’t let him interact with peers and we let him stay inside in something call confinement for two years.D does that mean that we let the  Air on so that he cannot sleep through the noise We understand that he is murderous, however that  doesn’t mean that he has to endure these kinds of treatment . This source is taken from a big news outlet called CNN. Millions of watchers watch every day and this was some of the most controversial topics ate discussed. Cruel and unusual punishment is at an all-time high and when the U.S government prison system makes it so that you can’t escape it. I trust this source and I would use it again because it keens in on controversial topics like this and gets straight to the point. What’s going on behind closed doors is not okay. Cruel and unusual punishment goes against the 8th Amendment.https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/10/us/el-chapo-defense-attorney-letter/index.html
