grades

final_grade_record_v2 is posted here on the openlab. (This 2nd version has the extra credit towards the final exam that some of you earned as detailed in opportunity. This raised the final average for some of you in the F range, but not enough to push you into the D range.)

Here is your grade record as of 5/17 about noon. In the prefinal average, I only included 3 components: quizzes (5%), webwork (10%) and your midterm average (40%), so this only reflects a little more than half your grade. Please read the syllabus carefully so you can get many of the remaining points, including portfolios and the openlab participation. I made comments to many of your openlab posts, so please use them as a guide to make changes. Also, you are supposed to “comment” on other students’ posts. In class on Thursday, I will once again show you how to use desmos to get the equation and add the graph to your picture.

exam2_portfolio:  2 points each for overall organization, quizzes, inclass notes (can be in :a separate notebook), homework (either all your work for the webwork problems or problems from the textbook), writing assignments (look for questions after each video) and the previous exam and its corrections

exam1_portfolio: 2 points each for overall organization, quizzes, inclass notes (can be in :a separate notebook), homework (either all your work for the webwork problems or problems from the textbook), writing assignments (look for questions after each video).

I have decided that chronological is too hard to grade. For each exam period, please organize by category (quizzes, in-class hmwk, etc.) and within the category, have it organized chronologically. I suggest that you put dates, page number, etc. on the work so that you identify what it is and when it was done.
